Obama Humiliates Netanyahu

This is SUCH a disgrace. Even Arafat was never treated this way.
After reading this, I encourage you to write a letter of protest the the President, and a letter of support to Prime Minister Netanyahu. Here are the addresses:

Write to the President on the White House site:

Write to Prime Minister Netanyahu on the Prime Minister's site:

* Note:
I've posted highlights of Netanyahu's speech at the bottom of this post.

From the Times of London:

For a head of state to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of.

Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip seen in Jerusalem tonight as a disastrous humiliation.

After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on Jewish settlements, Mr. Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisors and “let me know if there is anything new,” a US congressman who spoke to the Prime Minister said today.

“The Prime Minister leaves America disgraced, isolated and altogether weaker than when he came,” the Israeli daily Ha'aretz said.

With the atmosphere so soured by the end of the evening, the Israelis decided that they could not trust the phone line they had been lent. Mr. Netanyahu retired with his defense minister, Ehud Barak, to the Israeli Embassy to ensure the Americans were not listening in.

Israel Insider put it this way:

If Benjamin Netanyahu thought that a meeting with Barack Hussein Obama was just the thing to clear the air and smooth ruffled relations between the two nations, he was sadly and badly mistaken.

The signs were there. The White House demanded no media, no outside photographers, not even a ceremonial handshake nor the vaguest of pleasantries. All of the sweet words of a "rock solid.... unwavering.... forever" alliance uttered by Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden in the preceding days were out the window.

Instead, he walked into an ambush. Israel's Channel Two correspondent Udi Segal described it as "brutal."

In the wake of the disagreements, and continued lower-level consultations Wednesday morning, Netanyahu canceled his media appearances and stayed, with Ehud Barak, in the secure confines of the Israeli embassy -- secure also in the confidence that their conversations were not being monitored, a feeling lacking in the White House.

When Obama disrespected Prime Minister Brown of Great Britain, many Americans, myself included, wrote letters of apology and sent them to the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. May I suggest that we do the same thing with the Israeli Embassy? Between you and I, I am sure that we can get the word out and start a letter-writing campaign, and perhaps we can even send a copy of our letters to the White House to show Obama exactly what we think of him and his ungodly policies.

That's a really good idea. To anyone who reads this and is outraged as we are, please write and express your outrage. And also send a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu. He needs to know that the Obama administration does NOT represent the majority of Americans.
